1.Raw materials: the raw materials of PVC composite flooring and PE composite decking are similar, the main difference is the polymers, as its name implies PE composite decking used PE resin, it’s a hot extrusion composite material without adding foaming agent; And PVC composite flooring used PVC resin, it is also a hot extrusion composite material but need to add foaming agent.

2.Applications: PVC composite productsare mostly used in indoor. such as ceiling, TV backdrop, doors, baseboard, and the door decorations; andit very few to used in outdoor, since PVC composite products are foamed during the production, so the density is very low, the water resistance is poor, then the color is easy to fade. PE composite products are mainly used in outdoor landscape and construction, such as the billboards, flower boxes, fences, outdoor decking etc., since the water resistance is good, corrosion resistance is strong, and it’s very easy to install, there is no need to paint, and free of maintenance. And most importantly it’s very Eco-friendly to both human and the environment.

3.The performance: The whether resistance of PVC composite products is poor, the color fading will be a big problem when used in outdoor, as to some substandard products the water absorption will be 5% higher, and the impact resistance is too weak to be hit by some heavy or sharp objects,it’s easy to damaged. While PE composite decking have strong weather resistance, the colors are more natural and longer-lasting, the impact resistance is stronger, so the PE composite material in outdoor applications can be up to 15-25 years, so it’s has been applied to a wide range of outdoor pavilion, fence, etc..

4.The price: PE composite material will be a little expensive than PVC material, sincethe raw material of PE is dearer, and the quality is better.

Actually, whether to choose PE composite decking or PVC composite flooring, it is no exist which is better, and mainly depends on the customer’s needs. For indoor decoration, you can choose PVC material, the price is favorable, free paint and eco-friendly in indoor environment.
